With National Pal and funds from the Department of Justice’s Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP)\, we will be implementing a year long program mentoring youth ages 12-17. \nPSAL will partner with the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation\, offering the “Badges for Baseball” curriculum as part of this program. This curriculum uses physical activities such as baseball\, basketball\, soccer\, dodgeball and a unique game called Quick Ball\, to interact and teach important life skills and values. Some of the skills and values taught include leadership\, sportsmanship\, teamwork\, respect for oneself and others and living a healthy lifestyle. We will be taking several field trips throughout the year as well working on a Community Service project to be implemented in the summer of 2018. \nThis program will run from February 2018 through November 2018. Sessions are held the second and fourth Thursday of each month.
