This fun event will be filled with Placer County officials and members of the community who commit themselves to helping programs such as these. All proceeds from the event will be divided between agencies and directly benefit all three programs!

The Placer County Sheriff’s Activities League, Rocklin Police Activities League, and Roseville Police Activities League, offer a variety of athletic, social, and summer programs for youth in Placer County.  Some our members come from low-income, single-parent households, or foster homes. Programs, which run year round, are low-cost to avoid the exclusion of any child due to family income.  As local non-profit organizations, we strive to prevent crime in our area by intervening in the lives of youth early on and assisting in the development of meaningful relationships with police officers. These PALs (or SALs) are part of one of the largest organized crime prevention programs in the country, the CalPAL organization.

Youth Leadership Conference 2017

Leading The Change

This year we were able to take 8 members of PSAL to the Youth Leadership Conference in Valencia, CA.

Leadership training for the members was coordinated by “One Circle” and involved a high caliber leadership training through a mix of motivational activities. The overall goal and theme for this year was to empower our youth leaders to go out into their communities with the knowledge to coordinate and lead other youth in performing valuable community service projects to enhance their local communities. In addition, they learned that being a leader can win the cooperation of their peer groups and motivate others to be more effective and positive in their lives.

In the afternoons, the members spent time at Six Flags Magic Mountain which, believe it or not, turned into more team building between our PSAL members. Check out our pictures below. All of our members meet new people, formed new relationships, worked on old relationships and have all expressed they would love to go again next year.
