Step-by-Step Process

Step 1

Fill out an application. Applications can be picked up at the South Placer Substation in Loomis: 6140 Horseshoe Bar Rd. Loomis, CA. 95650. The application must be returned in to the South Placer Substation.

Note: Applicants have the option of attending the first 30 minutes of the first meeting of the month to observe. The observation will be strictly limited to the first 30 minutes of the program; 6 pm to 6:30 pm. If the applicant is under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian must be present during the observation.

Step 2

Successfully pass a background check.

Step 3

Submit a Livescan/ fingerprints at the Auburn Justice Center; 2929 Richardson Dr Auburn, CA. 95603. The Livescan Form will be provided with the application.

Step 4

Successfully pass an oral interview. The interview will be set up by the Post Explorer Advisor.

Step 5

Once accepted you are accepted, you will be able to start attending the meetings. The explorer meetings are held every 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month at the Auburn Justice Center.
