Youth Academy

The youth academy is geared for kids 12-17 who have a strong interest in a law enforcement career. The focus is on educating them about the sheriff’s office and gives them the opportunity to see how different units/divisions function. They will visit many of the sheriff’s office facilities and meet staff members.
During the experience, kids will be treated to presentations and tours from several divisions: patrol, investigations, evidence, K9, training, bomb squad, boat patrol, search and rescue, dispatch, Special Enforcement Team and the jail.
